2023 New Year Regards from Qufu Shaolin Kung Fu School

Dear Students & Friends,

On the last day of 2022, with sunshine glistering on my keyboard, I wrote the second and also the last updates of our school. The only word I want to share is “the future is in sight”.

At the moment I am writing, we have 2 students training with Master Wei on the training ground of our school.
Three years ago, we get to know the word “corona”, then the 2 keywords of 2020 for our school is “leaving “ & “ cancellation”.

then students started to leave and new students cannot come. In the beginning it is like students leaving for health and safety. Then it turns out to be students cannot come. Even the one who just went home for Christmas and New Year cannot come back. This is a year we waited and waited but all the time get to be blue.

Late 2020, we started to re-act to this situation. As students cannot come, how about we offer teaching online? Master Wei started the recording of online training form with Dragon warrior.
This is a new trial for both parts, they worked 10 hours a day everyday, only the recording takes 2 months, then after 6 months of editing and marketing we published this in June 2021.

Our first online training program: “Shaolin Kung Fu Basics”, is a detailed bilingual Shaolin Kung Fu course with high-quality producing. It gives students nearly the same teaching as the teaching in our school. A lot of former students choose to buy it as a revision as well.

The recording kept going on till November 2021. We finished 5 programs for Shaolin Kung Fu and 3 programs for Wing Chun. Cannot wait to share with you in 2023!

Master Wei also went back to the Shaolin Temple for further study on Shaolin Band system. And get our school authorized to issue band certificates to our students. In this way, it would be a lot easier for our future students to get official Shaolin certificates.

December 2021, our school doesn’t have any international students in school anymore. For the first time in our school history our school is empty. Sorry it is not really empty: We only have 3 long-term Chinese students and some weekend training kids from nearby villages.

In the beginning of 2022, Master Shi Yong Xin invited our school to attend the Online Shaolin Kung Fu Contest of the Shaolin Temple and our students ranked top. This gives a good beginning of 2022.

The passed summer we have more Chinese kids here for the summer holiday camp and more and more international students applying to train in our school.

In November, the Chinese government finally stopping the national wide nucleic acid test. We finally got the good news of no quarantine this month.

Honestly speaking, I think over and over to give the right time for everything of the passed three years, and it is not a pleasant memory for me but at this moment, I still want to repeat the tittle today: ” the future is in sight”.

With the current 2 student training in the school now and anther 3 students plan to arrive in January, I feel I still have power to expect a better year. Here we also want to share with you courage we calculated in the past and a good willing for the coming new year!
