I am writing as the mother of a student of the school. My son Matthew, who is now 21 years old, arrived at the school in September 2011 and stayed for 6 months, he has returned since July 1st 2012 and plans to stay for a few years. My husband and I are very happy with Matthew's experience at the Shaolin Kung Fu School in Qufu, we feel that Matthew has gained much from his stay at the school. He has grown in maturity, he is much more confident in himself and his future.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Joy who is the liaison between the students (family) and the school. Joy was always available to answer our many questions (transportation, visas, etc.) during our research and preparations for our son's trip and we had many as we live in France and did not have the possibility to visit the school beforehand.

Thank you to the Master who has taken Matthew under his wing and who is guiding him with his martial arts schooling, but also helping him to continue growing into a young man with important life values that will only help him become a better person.

We do not regret our decision to help Matthew to go to this school and we are proud of his courage to go so far from home and to work hard at his studies and to learn the Chinese language as well. We also like the fact that the students who attend the school come from so many different countries and are of different ages, that in itself is a great life experience.

Our second son Lucas (18yrs) accompanied his older brother to the school for the month of July and he came back thrilled with his trip and had only good things to say about his experience at the school. Now our third son Sean keeps asking us if he can go too! However we will wait a little longer before sending him, as he is only 14!
