The training has absolutely met my expecations. Master Yu has been a great mentor that has pushed me to my limits and been inspiring and motivating me to always give 100 percent during training. The speed of progression to learn new movements and techniques has been good. I have never had to practice one technique for to long to become bored and have not been given new techniques to fast. Master Yu has also been very patient and understanding when I have not been able to do the techniques properly which is very nice especially for new students.
The one thing which I think can be improved is the introduction for new students. When I came here there was a lot of small things I did not know about. For example how the showers works and that there are electric showers, how to use the white board in the entrance, how the laundry machines work and how to take the bus to Qufu. There could also maybe be a short list to present what the school does not provide like: toilet paper, soap in every bathroom, detergent for laundry and oatmeal for breakfast. It would also be good if new students were helped to understand where to get these items. Maybe a map to explain where the supermarket is in Qufu and what you can get in the shops that is near the school. If these things were solved then the life for new students would become much easier and much faster I think.
It has been great to spend much time with the other students. During training everyone in the group is very helpful to make new students learn fast. I felt very welcomed right from the start and never felt alone. There is a good spirit among the students and it has been great to be a part of that.
Overall I am very grateful for my stay here. I will definetely consider to come back if I find more time than two weeks. I still feel like I have learnt a lot and will bring many new experiences and knowledge about Kung Fu with me back home and continue to practice.
