I had done Kick Boxing and Tae Kwando before, but was getting too lazy and fat. I needed a shock therapy, and found it here.
My physical condition being terrible, I found the first month of training horribly tough. But with the help of my master (shifu) and of some the older students, with determination, focusing and patience, it slowly got better. You never get rid of the pain (to busy being sore of getting injured) but feeling the evolution of your body and skills is incredibly encouraging.
In 4 months, I have lost 14 kg and gained in strength, flexibility, stamina, balance, motor coordination and even memory. Beyond the body, the training somehow touches your heart and spirit. I am more confident and peaceful.
I am grateful to my Shifu, and to all those who trained me for their knowledge, patience and kindness. Not to forget the non teaching staff (the translators, all the “aunties”, and uncle “Shushu”) who made our daily life better.
Last but not least, both the premises of the school (brand new building), and the landscape around it (awesomely green mountains) are great.
