I arrived at the school at the beginning of January and stayed for five months. A big part of the training is focused on flexibility and the results were visible after only a few weeks.
The conditioning class and the training on the wing chun wooden dummy made me more resistant. I gained a lot of strength and explosive power, especially in my legs, due to the daily exercises activating these muscles and the power training class. The skills I improved here are not only physical but also mental. As the weeks passed, I became better and faster at learning movements in the forms, even when they required more coordination. I also developed the discipline to wake up everyday at 6:00 in the morning to practice Tai Chi and to train during the day until 18:00. Having the same training schedule every week was definitely one of the hardest parts of my experience, as it gets hard on the body to do over and over again the same moves.
You must be very careful to perform the techniques correctly to avoid knee injuries, which many people, including me, had at the school, especially when staying a long time. It is also mentally tiring to have this totally new lifestyle imposed on you, as you need to be focused for each training. I would definitely recommend this school.
