I was only at school for one month, but even in this short time I’ve learned quite a lot of things. The first week of training was very hard. However, one gets used to the pace very quickly.

My shifu certainly pushed me to my limits. He was strict but also fair. I was incredibly impressed by the skills of the masters as well as some of the students who had already been here for a few months or even years. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and open, you meet and get to know people fast since you are all spending every day and all day together.

The facilities of the school are definitely a much higher standard than I had expected. There are even western toilets which you can basically only find at the school or the hostel in Qufu where most of the students hang out on weekends.

Overall, my experience was quite amazing. The only thing I would change is that I’d stay longer, However, there’s always the possibility to go back which I most definitely will.
